This is my standard green smoothie that I have as part of my breakfast and morning routine. The papaya and turneric are said to be particularly good for sarcoidosis as they are anti-inflammatory.
As smoothies go, it tastes OK. I add several optional ingredients that are good for your general health, as it is packed with plant-based protein and nutrients. Feel free to add any ingredients you like.
Ingredients
- A big handful of spinach
- 1-2 sticks of celery
- Half of papaya
- 200 ml almond milk or
- 200 ml filtered water
- 1 heaped tsp Bob’s Best Four Green Plus (optional)
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar with mother (optional)
- 2 tsp turmeric (optional)
- A handful of pumpkin seeds (optional)

Instructions
- Make sure you thoroughly wash the spinach and celery and remove the black seeds from the papaya.
- Place all of the celery and spinach in your blender of choice Then scoop out the flesh from the papaya and add to your blender.
- Add any optional ingredients you like. Then whizz it all up and drink cold.
